Pond Clear (Algae Control) 2 litre

Controls algae in freshwater ornamental fish ponds.

Pond Clear will not affect pond plants or fish when used as directed.  When ponds are heavily infested with algae, oxygen depletion in pond water may occur after treatment.  This caused by dead and decoying algae and can lead to fish mortality.  To prevent oxygen depletion, remove heavy algae growths mechanically before treatment.  Algae growth is promoted by phosphates from food, fish wastes and strong light. 

Regular partial water changes and increasing shaded area of pond will discourage algae growth.

How to use:

Calculate the volume of water in your pond. Half fill a bucket with pond water. Shake bottle vigorously before each application, measure into bucket 1ml per 25L of pond water.  When algae first appears or after cleaning an algae infested pond. Mix well and disperse throughout the pond water. Treatment may be repeated after 7 days when necessary.

To prevent Algae from Reappearing:

After initial treatment to control algae a preventative dose is recommended every 30days at the rate of 1ml per 50L of pond water. If algae reapprears during this period treat pond water at the dose rate to control algae allowing a minimum of 7 days between treatments.
